Key Battle To Watch

Many Rangers have been skating on their own over the past couple of weeks. After a weekend of practices, current and former Rangers will get together on Monday at the club's annual Alumni Golf Outing.
The six-game preseason schedule begins next Friday at The Garden.
Among the battles I will be keeping a close eye on: Third line center.
Will 19-year-old Artem Anisimov or 21-year-old Brandon Dubinsky (very poised in six games with the big club last season) earn a chance, or will the coaching staff slide Sean Avery or Martin Straka over from the wing?
The other three center slots are locked up with Chris Drury, Scott Gomez and Blair Betts.
I am headed to South Florida for the Cowboys and Dolphins this Sunday, which reminds me: Congratulations to former Ranger defenseman Randy Moller, who will take over this season as the new radio play-by-play man for the Florida Panthers after many years as the color analyst.
I can't think of any other hockey players who have jumped over to the play-by-play side. Must be a Florida thing.
Ex-wide receiver Jimmy Cefalo handles radio play-by-play for the Dolphins.
