Everything You Wanted to Know About Brett Favre: Week 7
Eric Mangini's baby has a familiar name

Brett Favre is tragically ignored by the New York media. As such, every week we'll seek out the latest and greatest in Brett Favre news and share it with you here on Game On!.
11,643. That's the number of results in my Google Reader set up to pull news articles on Brett Favre. Last week, that figure stood at 15,143.
This post is about one of those articles, and it's baffling.
Jets head coach Eric Mangini enjoys naming his children after football personalities.
His two oldest sons are named after Rodney Harrison and Bill Belichick. And his newborn son's name is Zach Brett Mangini, named after the team's star quarterback.
Now, it's always a nice gesture for a parent to name a child after somebody close to the family. But there's also something risky in naming a baby after a co-worker. For instance, Mangini and Belichick's frosty relationship has been well-documented. Imagine having a son named after someone who has become your arch-nemesis?
While Brett Favre has been, by all accounts, a great guy so far, he and Mangini could have a falling out. Or what if Harrison – regarded as one of the dirtiest players in professional football – were to take a cheap shot at Favre that results in an injury?
Naming a child after someone in the National Football League certainly has its problems. Mangini could end up having a reason to resent all three of his sons' names. That would be utterly regrettable.
But at least he didn't name his son Pac-Man.
