| 1) Leon Washington (RB) Previous Ranking: N/A | |
| Notes: The more I watch Leon, the more I think he's woefully underused. He's fantastic on kick/punt returns. He's also showing that he's capable of doing some bigtime things out of the backfield. He could be a poor man's Brian Westbrook. But he needs the ball to show what he can do. Are you listening, Eric Mangini? ARE YOU LISTENING? | |
| 2) Jerricho Cotchery(WR) Previous Ranking: N/A | |
| Notes: Nine catches, over 100 yards. That's a textbook "great game" for any WR. He'd actually have better stats if Brett Favre wasn't busy throwing the ball to various Chiefs. | |
| 3) Calvin Pace (LB) Previous Ranking: No. 7 | |
| Notes: Just put him somewhere on this list every week. | |
| 4) Laveranues Coles (WR) Previous Ranking: No. 9 | |
| Notes: His game-winning TD catch was one for the personal highlight reel, if such a thing even exists. | |
| 5) Thomas Jones (RB) Previous Ranking: No. 1 | |
| Notes: TJ wasn't spectacular yesterday. But there's something to be said for "steady." Spectacular is a wild fling on a weekend cruise. Steady is marriage material. | |
| 6) Kerry Rhodes (S) Previous Ranking: No. 8 | |
| Notes: The Jets secondary was largely awful yesterday, as Tyler Thigpen looked competent, as opposed to the worst quarterback in football, which is what he likely is. But Rhodes did have a sack and is generally very good, so I'll put him up here. | |
| 7) Brett Favre (QB) Previous Ranking: No. 4 | |
| Notes: Even bad outings by Favre sometimes turn out okay. His last second heroics showed why he's who he is. Unfortunately, so did his rest-of-the-game antics. He's more up-and-down than a pre-teen on pixie sticks. | |
| 8) Chansi Stuckey (WR) Previous Ranking: N/A | |
| Notes: I'm kind of reaching towards the end of the list since the team was so terrible yesterday. But the offense did put up over 400 yards, which is a pretty big number. And Stuckey's on offense and made some catches so... | |
| 9) Dustin Keller (TE) Previous Ranking: N/A | |
| Notes: We have a Dustin Keller sighting! Repeat, we have a Dustin Keller sighting! | |
| 10) David Bowens Previous Ranking: N/A | |
| Notes: Bowens made some tackles and stuff. |
