While we were gobbling up turkey and watching football over the long Thanksgiving weekend, the Liberty was overseas hitting the hardwood. Here's how our players fared during the week of November 24:
We start in the Euroleague, where Shameka Christon and Nadezhda topped Halcon Avenida 83-62. Christon had 20 points with six boards, three steals and two assists. Despite 17 points and six rebounds, Cathrine Kraayeveld's Broker Kosice dropped its match against Tammy Sutton-Brown (Indiana Fever) and Fenerbahce, 74-84.
- In the EuroCup, Loree Moore and Chevakata scored a 97-50 victory over A.D.V. Moore recorded a near double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds. The Libs guard also dished out four assist in the Russian club's win.
- Essence Carson takes us to Latvia where TTT Riga took on TTT Riga Juniores in re-match and once again dominated 101-49. Carson chipped in 13 points and three boards in 24 minutes of play. Just two days later, the Liberty rookie led her squad to another 100-point victory over Liepaja with a game-high 25 points, five rebounds and two steals.
- Over in Turkey, Lisa Willis and Pankup TED triumphed over Shannon Bobbitt (LA Sparks) and Botas 77-69. Willis notched 15 points and three boards. With a game-high 15 rebounds, Erlana Larkins led Samsun to an 80-47 win over Cankaya Universitesi.
