Tex is the New Pinstripe
Meet Mark Teixeira, the newest Yankee hero. I already miss Jason Giambi, mostly because his name is easy to spell. (NY Post)
Do Not Question This Man
I saw "Doubt" over the weekend. It's one heck of a movie and will reap its share of awards. I do not think Tom Coughlin would like it, however. He had plenty of doubt cast about him last season. And now he no longer does. (The Record)
Firing Line
The Jets interviewed Boston College head coach Jeff Jagodzinski yesterday. Earlier, Jagodzinski was told that he'd be fired if he chased after this job. Kudos to him for sticking to his guns. Many don't. (NY Daily News)
Not Watching
Almost everyone I know will be watching the Giants/Eagles game this weekend. But one person will not tune in. That is Jets nose tackle Kris Jenkins, who wants nothing to do with it. He must have an appointment cleaning his garage or something. (Newsday)
Thriller at the Rock
There's nothing I like more than snuggling up under an electric blanket and watching some college hoops. I did that last night and watched Villanova barely eek out a win against Seton Hall in Newark. I hate the snow. But I'm fine with the winter because it means random Big East games pop up on my TV set. (Star-Ledger)
