1) Brandon Jacobs (RB) Previous Ranking: No. 1
Notes: Jacobs was one of the people who showed up ready to play on Sunday. If the Giants don't re-sign this guy in the offseason, they're making a huge mistake. He may miss a game here or there, but he's more than worth the risk.
2) Corey Webster (CB) Previous Ranking: No. 2
Notes: It was sad to see Webster struggle a bit, especially after having such a solid season. Whatever the reason, his troubles look more like a fluke than regression.
3) Justin Tuck (DE) Previous Ranking: No. 7
Notes: Watching Tuck play on one leg this past Sunday was a great motivator. It's clear that this guy is a warrior and willing to do whatever he can to help his team win.
4) Eli Manning (QB) Previous Ranking: No. 4
Notes: Manning had an awful game against the Eagles, and we'll certainly hear about it until August. But the bottom line remains the same: Manning had a fantastic 2008 season and one poor performance cannot and will not take away from what he did in 2007.
5) Offensive Line (OL) Previous Ranking: No. 5
Notes: The offensive line, David Diehl in particular, really came through. After getting manhandled by the Eagles in Week 14, they made the proper adjustments and held up their end in Sunday's loss.
6) Derrick Ward (RB) Previous Ranking: No. 3
Notes: In what was likely Ward's finale in East Rutherford, he averaged a mere 3.8 yards per carry. It'll be sad to see him go, but he's earned himself a starting job somewhere.
7) Jeff Feagles (P) Previous Ranking: No. 6
Notes: Wind or no wind, Feagles did what he does best on Sunday. He averaged 45 yards per punt and pinned the Eagles inside the 20 on one of his two punts.
8) Kevin Boss (TE) Previous Ranking: No. 8
Notes: Boss was targeted only three times on Sunday, but hauled in all three for 52 yards. And considering the Giants led the league in drops this season, that's actually an impressive stat.
9) Amani Toomer (WR) Previous Ranking: N/A
Notes: Toomer didn't do anything note-worthy on Sunday, but that doesn't take away from what he's given the Giants over the course of his career. It's sad to see his tenure in Big Blue end this way. But I think I speak for many Giants fans when I express my thanks for all that he's given us.
10) Michael Johnson (S) Previous Ranking: N/A
Notes: Following a 23-11 season-ending loss, it seems odd that Johnson would make his first appearance on this list, but he had a tremendous game on Sunday, which really showed his growth. This kid may never be an elite NFL safety, but he's going to get the job done and a little more for New York.
