Liberty Hoopla: Turkey's Not All It's Cracked Up to Be
I love being home
by: Lisa Willis
Hey Liberty fans, happy New Year! I know it's been a while since we've spoken, so we obviously have some catching up to do.
Gosh, let's see. We spoke last during the '08 Playoffs and since then, I've grown up a bit. Well, not really, but I did go back overseas to Turkey. The basketball was cool, I played pretty well (that was put modestly, LOL), but I just needed a mental break.
So, that's what brings me to blogging with you, not overseas, but in the comfort of my hometown, the LBC. I got home on Dec 22 and I've been living the life ever since. I had a great Christmas with my family. I got a new watch for Christmas. It's a beauty. Plus, I also got to eat some good food.
Now, I don't know how many of you have been to Turkey before, but let's just say food is NOT one of their specialties. You can go to Turkey for a Turkish bath (which I thoroughly enjoyed), but food? No, bring a sack lunch with you. Although, it's not all that bad. It was great to come home to all the great food.
Anywho, I've been doing a little bit of hooping. Actually, I'll be heading up to UCLA when I'm done talking to you guys to play with the team. I feel like by me doing that, I can help the team out a little bit. but they are also helping me stay fit, so I can continue to eat good without gaining weight [LOL].
I have to make sure my mid-section is sexy because in about two weeks I'll be vacationing in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Let's just say that when I hit up ALL the beaches, I want to look my best [LOL].
Alright Liberty fans, I need to go work out now. I'll be sure to talk to you soon.
Lisa
