New York Titans Playoffs: Jordan Hall Entry
It's all about the 'stache
by: New York Titans
Hello New York City!
I am pumped to be writing my first blog and have it posted on the MSG website. I'm even more excited to be discussing all the other firsts that your New York Titans are accomplishing right now, like the first ever lacrosse playoff game at The Garden.
It all started last week in Minnesota with a win over the Swarm. By doing so, the boys and I locked up our first ever East Division Title. To the victor goes the spoils, and home floor at Madison Square Garden for our next two games was now guaranteed with the title. Home floor will be key as we have been matched up against an underachieving and very talented Rochester Knighthawks squad. Their team is full of NLL stars, but none better known than lacrosse legend Gary Gait. Practice this weekend will be focused on shutting down these star players and discussing and comparing another first for your Titans.
Playoff mustaches were decided by vote over the standard playoff beard. The team was tired of the standard playoff beards we have rocked in past playoffs and we have opted for the very fashionable "cookie duster." There were a couple of reasons we chose to do playoff mustaches, none of which I agreed with. My mustache muscle is juvenile at best. At a full week in, I have been asked, "Why aren't you growing one?" and "Did you forget to shave today?" Needless to say, I believe that our team captain, Casey Powell will once again lead us on and off the field with a mustache that would make Tom Selleck proud.
Stay tuned as I update you next week on mustache leaders, the feeling of the team after practice and any other insider updates I can give. So if any of you fans out there see a disgusting beginner mustache, don't laugh; it's probably just one of your New York Titans!
