Liberty Hoopla: Overseas Update (10/20)
Follow your favorite players in action

Overseas play is underway as many of the New York Liberty players are getting settled in overseas with their new teams and teammates. It has been the first week for many players getting back into action since the end of the WNBA season and the fourth week for others who have already lead their teams to victory.
Here is a recap of this past week's action:
Kia Vaughn is in her first season overseas and has joined Electra Ramat Hasharon in Israel. On Monday, her team beat Jerusalem, 84-66. Kia scored 16 points on 8-of-15 shooting and grabbed 12 rebounds.
- Tiffany Jackson, also in Israel playing with Maccabi Ramat Hen, led her team with a game high 29 points on 8-of-12 from the field while shooting 10-for-13 from the free-throw line. Tiff also added 11 rebounds, five steals and three blocks in the win.
- In Poland, Sidney Spencer and Shameka Christon both took to the court to lead their teams to a win. Sid's Gorzow team beat CCC Polkowice, 68-64, with her netting eight points, three assists and two rebounds. So far this offseason, Sidney is averaging 10 points per game and shooting 44% from three-point land in four games. Shameka's first week in Poland was a successful one where her team defeated Inea AZS P, 80-59. Shameka continues her stellar shooting overseas, with 3-for-3 from the floor, 3-for-5 from behind the arc, 16 points and three rebounds.
- Cathrine Kraayeveld is in the Czech Republic this season playing for USK Praha. In her first game and team's 81-56 win against vs. Praha, Cat was dominant, scoring 21 points, shooting 50% from the field and blocking four shots.
Even in her team's loss against Gambrinus 92-75, Cat continued her outstanding shooting with a 7-for-9 performance, netting 17 points and grabbing three rebounds.
In this week's action, Cat had five rebounds in 18 minutes of play in her team's 91-51 win over Strakonice.
- Janel McCarville is back in Russia this season playing for Spartak Vidnoe Moscow Region. So far, Janel has hit the ground running playing two games in three days. In her first game back, Janel's team beat Spartak St Petersburg, 87-60. Janel shot 4-for-9 with two free throws and four rebounds, scoring 10 points. In the second game, her team defeated Dynamo Kursk, 102-65. Janel lead her team in scoring with 18 points, shooting 8-for-12 from the field with two free throws and four rebounds.
- Now in the fourth week of French league action, Leilani Mitchell's Arras team continued its winning ways with a 72-46 victory over Aix-en-Provence. Lei's shooting touch and great court presence helped her team to a win with her scoring 10 points, grabbing five rebounds and dishing out six assists.
