Anthony "Fooch" Fucilli, the hustling reporter / field producer for MSG, has been breaking news in the New York sports scene for nearly twenty years. Since 1989, Fooch has been in countless locker rooms chasing down stories for MSG, and he currently reports on all the New York sports teams contributing to MSG's nightly sports and entertainment show "MSG,NY" and for MSG.com. In addition, he does some work for MSG's "Boomer Esiason Show," helping to track down stories and line up guests. Fooch can also be heard as the sideline reporter for Rutgers Radio (WOR 710 in New York), and he hosts the "Seton Hall Basketball Report" with head coach Bobby Gonzalez. Fooch also serves on various local TV shows as an MSG's "Pro Football" analyst. Fooch began his career at MSG in 1989 as a part-time production assistant, where he logged and recorded sporting events and worked at the assignment desk. His big break on air came later that year when, on extremely short notice, he high-tailed it to Yankee Stadium to track down then Yankee First Baseman Don Mattingly after he signed a contract extension with the team. Not only did Fooch convince Mattingly to do a quick one-on-one interview, but he also snagged comments from Yankees owner George Steinbrenner. While at MSG in 1989, Fooch was also a part-time employee at the SportsTicker sports information service in Jersey City, N.J., where he tracked sports stories nationwide and updated scores during all sporting events. In September 1988, Fooch interned at WWOR-TV as an assignment desk coordinator as well as a production assistant for Steve and Al Albert. Prior to that, in 1987, he was one of the first interns with WFAN Radio, where he was a desk assistant for Jim Lampley, Lou Palmer and John O'Reilly. Fooch graduated from William Paterson College, where he was a member of the TV and radio sports station for four years, eventually doing color commentary for the college's TV station, WPSC-TV. A graduate of Emerson High School in Union City, N.J., Fooch played offensive and defensive lineman for the high school's football team, leading the team in quarterback sacks his senior year. He currently resides in Little Ferry, New Jersey.
