The best news to hit town as the Rangers emplace the welcome mat for Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals tonight at the Garden has nothing to do with the visiting Washington sextet. The Leafs top Forbes Magazine's list of the NHL's most valuable teams for a fourth consecutive year. Valued at $470 million, an increase of five percent since last year, Toronto is well ahead of the second place Rangers at $416 million.

As the Rangers gird for another (undermanned) game on Saturday afternoon at Ottawa, they are at least secure in the knowledge that they tried before falling, 5-3, on Thursday night at the Garden to Atlanta.
