Every so often we spend a little time asking our favorite celebrities what some of their favorite things are.Today's guest on Celebrity Favorites: John Starks. We figured it was a good time to do so with the Golf Show in town. Did we mention he was attending? Did we mention he (like us) loves golf?

As one of New York's most loved guys on and off the court, here's a look at some of his loves:

Favorite Restaurant - "Melba's in Harlem. Every dish is great there ... Melba used to work at Sylvia's, then started her own restaurant. She even beat the chef Bobby Flay in a cook-off!  The food there is delicious!"

Favorite Place to Travel - "Pinehurst (North Carolina) - Awesome golf resort!"

New Toys or Gadgets - "(I) just got a Macbook Pro."

Hobbies - "Golf, of course!  I'd play every day if i could."

Perfect Vacation - "On an island somewhere with my family -- And a nice golf course, of course!"

Favorite Local Golf Course - "Manhattan Woods"

Favorite Course in the World - "Pebble Beach - I shot 83 the first time I played there. I was 1 under par on the front, then gave some shots back on the back nine ... what a beautiful course."

What Driver -  "I play with the Titleist 983 E."

How Far is your Average Drive - "I can hit it 260 or 270 on average."

Name the Best Dressed Knicks player when you played - "Larry Johnson for sure ..."
