Keep Your Books Bullet-Free
by: Tal Pinch

When on the road, we tend to move back and forth between our carry-on options, be they an attached case, messenger bag, or (one of our favorites of late) the simple backpack. Of course, when that shoulder-strapped bag comes with the knowledge that it can deflect bullets from 9mm and .44 Magnum handguns, the decision sometimes tends to get made for us.
The Brickhouse Trail Blazer bulletproof backpack provides that peace of mind, even if the company's web site was designed primarily with the needs of schoolchildren in mind. The Trail Blazer's large main compartment is complemented by a padded sleeve that perfectly fits your laptop, its contents nicely protected by the Level IIIa ballistic panel capable of stopping more than 95% of handgun rounds.
Aesthetically, it can use a little work. Plus, we'd like to know what kind of kid needs a bullet-proof bookbag. But for a portable bag that has an extra feature not normally found in your typical travel case, it fulfills most of our needs. Have we mentioned it deflects bullets?
