  • Has your local deli taken to posting apologetic signs about price increases? New York magazine's Intelligencer has a rundown of what some NYC favorites — including matzo ball soup and pizza — are going to set you back in our current financial times.
  • Gridskipper has posted a guide to the "semi-private" (a.k.a. no-sign-on-the-door) clubs that we are afraid to attempt to visit. (The Monitor has been strictly signs-only since The Stinger closed.) If you try your luck at one of these not-so-secret spots, let us know how it goes.
